Hello and welcome to the LLS Xbox Charity Tournament blog!

This site will be hosting all of the updates on how the tournament is going, how to sign up, where to donate, and who won. The first bits of information below are the Rules and basic info about the Tournaments. Also why we are doing this tournament.

Fellow gamers,

I would like to invite you all to play scheduled online tournaments for PRIZES! You will be helping me raise money for a triathlon that I am training for. The triathlon consists of 3/4 mile swim, 24 mile bike and 6 mile run and is to help raise money for leukemia cancer patients and research. I am trying to reach my minimum goal of $3400 in order to race in the triathlon on March 8th, 2009 in Palm Springs and all you will have to do is pay $10 to my donations page as your registration to play in the tournament.

The information of what games we are hosting and times are all listed below as well as the rules. Please join me in my quest to help fight blood cancers right from your own home doing what you love doing best, playing games!

My friend and I would like to welcome EVERYONE to participate in an Online Charity Tournament Series. This will be played over the next 3 weeks across 4 different games! You may register for one game or all 4! All proceeds are going to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). All games will be played on the xbox.

Game dates and Time:
COD WaW - (Sat) 1/30/09 7pm CST
COD4 -(Sat) 2/7/09 8pm CST
Halo 3 - (Sun) 2/8/09 8pm CST
Rockband 2 - (Sun) 2/15/09 3pm CST

Each Tournament will be 2 hours long.

Entry Donation:
$10 donation for EACH Tournament game you wish to attend. Example: If you want to play in the WaW and Halo tournaments it would be a Total of $20. $10 for each one.

Tournament Rules

• The first round will start exactly at 10 minutes after the hour, so please come prepared with your classes set up and ready to play.
• Fatema Tarzi is providing the awards without help from the clan, so she will act as referee and final arbitrator if the need arises.
  
• The tournament will be open to ALL who register through the provided form and submit their donation to the website listed above.
  
• This tournament will be open to EVERYONE.
  
• The game types will be team-based, and everyone must choose auto-assign every round to change up the teams.
• Points will be given each round based on individual score. Points awarded for placement are as follows: 1st place = 25 points, 2nd place = 20 points, 3rd place = 17 points, and 4th place = 15 points down to 18th place = 1 point. or down to how many players there are if less then 18.
  
• The setup will depend on how many people RSVP for the tournament. If we have 18 people are less, we will have 1 private room and play for 2 full hours, with a 10-minute break after the first hour. At the end of 2 full hours, the total of points awarded for all matches will be added and the winners determined.
• If we have more than 18 people, we will open 2 rooms. After 1 full hour, the top 8 from each room will be invited to another room for finals, which will also last for 1 hour. The total of points awarded for all matches will determine the winners.
• For the first round the map will be picked by Fatema. After the first match all maps will be picked by the lowest scoring player. The rules will be set as if we were playing a standard ranked match on XBL.
• No conspiring with other players to help each other win.
• No private chats or parties to communicate outside of the general game channel.
• No cheating or glitching.
• Please be mindful of others, and do not sing, yell, or make noises to drown out others. I will warn the first time, and boot the second. Please be respectful of all players! Donation will NOT be refunded if you are booted.
  
• Finally, have fun!
